MGS - Alerted enemy

in metal gear solid there has always been a unique sound when snake gets spotted which has become iconic and most if not any players would recognise this sound even if it was not in the game its self.

Wilhelm Scream(Star Wars. etc)
The Wilhelm scream is very old originating in 1951 but this scream became most popular in the late 70s to early 80s because of a film franchise known as Star Wars this scream would become iconic in the franchise used in later films and more but it didn't stop at star wars its been used in countless other franchises and video games.

Mortal Kombat - GET OVER HERE!!!
In Mortal Kombat when you play as Scorpion you have a move called Spear which hooks an enemy in and and the character says GET OVER HERE!!! in a very deep and different voice. this would be used later in the franchise as well as even being used in MKX

Why is music and sound so important in gaming?

Music and Sound is crucial to game development because sound adds to the atmosphere and helps create a beautiful setting or a dark sinister one.

A Waveform Generator is a sophisticated signal generator/The distance from one crest

What is Foley?
Foley is recording sound over another visual project for example in films Foley is used to make grunts and scenes sound louder. Foley is used in both iconic games and films for example Logan.
